The masterbatch industry in China can be summarized in one sentence: rapid development, small gap, and broad prospects. Masterbatch
development in foreign countries is only a history of several decades.
China's reform and opening up has made China's masterbatch industry
follow the world's development trend. China's
full set of the introduction of the world's advanced production
equipment and production technology, imported high-quality pigments and
dispersants, can produce world-class masterbatch. Therefore, it can be said that China's masterbatch industry level is not far behind the world level. However, in China and abroad, the masterbatch industry is different.
The foreign masterbatch industry is monopolized by a few multinational
corporations. The development of Chinese masterbatch is still in the
transition from planned economy to market economy.
China's
masterbatch production belongs to several industries, such as: plastic
products industry (Shanghai, Wuxi), plastic resin manufacturers
(Beijing, Liaoyang), fiber production industry, and therefore did not
form the backbone. On

property rights in China and the incomplete competition rules in the
market, masterbatch production plants have sprung up. According to
incomplete statistics, as many as hundreds of masterbatch manufacturers
in the country have uneven quality, causing people to the illusion that the overall level of Chinese masterbatches is not high. Many
manufacturers participated in the market competition, leading to the
continuous oscillation of masterbatch prices, so that foreign companies
investing in China also had to participate in the masterbatch price war.
With
the outbreak of the financial crisis in Southeast Asia, the masterbatch
industry in China will be forced to adjust. The masterbatch industry in
China will also operate in accordance with the laws of world
development.
