How to choose black masterbatch?

1. The black masterbatch is made of resin and high pigment carbon black. In order to achieve a stable dispersibility of the color black masterbatch, a high level of shearing kneader must be used to mix the carbon black. With sufficient strength, these mixers can completely mix the carbon black and the base resin. The type of carbon black used also affects the coloring dispersibility, and the smaller the carbon black particles, the more difficult the dispersion. For example, in addition to the lack of aesthetics, the carbon black with poor dispersion in the film significantly reduces the weathering resistance of the black film. If the dispersion of the masterbatch is too poor, the fiber will be broken, resulting in production downtime.
 
2, There are a variety of carbon black on the market can be used for the coloration of masterbatch, the price of different color brightness is also very different, the carbon black of different sizes has different background color and the degree of coloration, the large particle carbon black is relatively low. For example, large particle carbon black is suitable for the production of garbage bag film, and small particle carbon black is suitable for use in televisions, computers, mobile phone casings, and external pipes. In addition, low transparency is also a major feature of small particle carbon black.
 
3. One of the main manifestations of black masterbatch stability is the smooth carbon black ratio. If the percentage of carbon black is fluctuating, the amount of masterbatch to be melted is not the same, and it is impossible to produce a product of the same hue.
 
4. If the black masterbatch contains contaminants or other non-meltable polymers, it will lead to some unpredictable and difficult to constrain the trouble, and ultimately waste the time and raw materials of the consumers. However, the base resin can be used to produce high quality masterbatch, and the masterbatch has good compatibility during the melting process.
 
5, The black masterbatch can not flow into the material to be molded even if it has good dispersion, the production effect will not be ideal. If the rheology is not good, the mold union encounters troubles in cycle time and appearance processing. If the dispersion and rheology are not high, some end users will make up for it by increasing the dilution ratio, but this will only increase the cost of using the masterbatch.
 
6. Black Masterbatch Coverage. This factor is especially important for masterbatches used in scrap or recycled polymers. Black is to cover other colors in the scrap. The large-particle carbon black has poor coloring ability, and it is difficult to cover all other colors in the lower layer. As a result, the final product only obtains a deviation from the color. In the melting process, the ability to properly select carbon black with high tinting ability to cover existing colors is the so-called covering power.
